What the activity finder uses

Search terms, ages, dates, prices, settings and other filters are applied in the page while you use it. We do not require an account. We do not sell personal information.

Your location

If you choose “Use my location,” your browser asks for permission. Your location stays in your browser page and is used only to estimate straight-line distance to activities. It is not sent to our application server or saved by the activity finder. You can use a named Ottawa-area reference point instead.

Hosting and technical logs

Our hosting provider may process standard request information, such as an IP address, browser details, requested page and time, to deliver and protect the website. We do not currently use advertising trackers or behavioural advertising.

Traffic statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics for privacy-friendly, aggregate traffic statistics such as page views, referrers, country, device and browser type. It does not use cookies and does not build personal profiles. We use these statistics to understand which parts of the site are useful and where performance needs attention.

Activity cards link to organizers’ websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices. Always use the organizer’s official page to confirm details or complete registration.

Future changes

If accounts, newsletters or other data features are added, this page will be updated before those features are used.
